Vimala Jyothi development center also undertaken relief activities among the victims of natural calamites such as land slide, spreading of communicable diseases, flood, drought etc. The mains activities include

• Distribution of food grains, cloths etc
• Facilitating and supporting the hospitalization & treatment
• Counselling to the affected people and family members
• Marriage assistance for poor young women

Vimala Jyothi Development Centre has been running one full fledged counselling and suicide prevention centre to create positive mental health among the children, youth, couples, aged, disabled etc at Muvattupuzha. Besides the counselling center, the organization has been extending its counselling services to schools, colleges, hospitals and families through reach out programs. And also we had done Spiritual Shearing services around nine countries (eighteen visits) including USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, UK, IRLAND, DUBAI, SHARJA, ABUDABI and BEHAREN.

Some of the major institutions have received such services from the state of Kerala include

• Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam Dt.-(Twelve years)
• Newman College, Thodupuzha, Idukki Dt. (Four years)
• Ephatha retreat team, Almajyothi, Adimaly, Idukki Dt. (Eight Years)

It facilitates the evolution of feasible level initiatives to reduce the poverty situation and advance the living standard of the poor. The main activities include

• Construction/ reconstruction or repairing of houses
• Construction of sanitary latrines
• Livelihood initiatives and micro-enterprises
• Financial support(Rs.12000/-per family) and counselling for deserving families

Vimala Jyothi development centre supports the poor children to continue their education through

• Supply of study materials like note books, bags and umbrella
• Group Counselling to children and their households
• Joint and separate counselling and conflict resolution among the parents of children
• Moral and value education for children
• Follow –up and other support services
• Follow –up and other support services
• Educational scholarship program (Around Rs.1500 X selected students Per year)

This is a new initiative to provide

• Counselling support for poor families who are engulfed in many kinds of family problems.
• Financial support (Rs. 1000/- per month) and guidence for poor families with the objective of achieving self-reliance through the promotion of self employment
